He graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a B.A. in Bible and Communications, an M.A. in New Testament studies, and an M.Div. in Apologetics. For the past 23 years he has worked as a Christian apologist in the Bible Department at Apologetics Press.

Michael Shermer is the Founding Publisher of Skeptic magazine, the host of the podcast The Michael Shermer Show, and a Presidential Fellow at Chapman University. He is the author of 5 New York Times bestsellers, was a monthly columnist for Scientific American for 18 years, and writes a weekly Substack column. He received his B.A. in psychology from Pepperdine University, M.A. in experimental psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and Ph.D. in history of science from Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Shermer has been a college professor since 1979, having taught at Occidental College, Glendale College, Chapman University, and Claremont Graduate University.
